Quality employees with a long loyalty streak are the backbone of the Newspaper Agency Corp., said company President Dominic Welch at a company banquet to honor employees.
"Everywhere you go, you hear about the mobility of the American work force and how hard it is to keep good employees. We have not had that problem," Welch said.Welch is president of the company that sells advertising for, distributes and prints the Deseret News and Salt Lake Tribune.
Some 300 longtime employees, company officials and their families gathered at the Marriott Hotel ballroom for the congratulatory dinner Tuesday night.
Welch praised four of NAC's employees who he said have been with the company for more than 50 years. The four are Jack W. Gallivan, president emeritus of the NAC; Warwick T. Hansell and Victor M. Johnson, both retired from the composing room; and Joseph M. Tyner, an employee in the mail room.
