After one day of basketball practice, BYU's men's team suffered its first injury.

Center-forward David Astle, a 6-9 freshman from Sacramento, Calif., broke his right wrist on his shooting hand by taking a charge in drills on Monday. The break was confirmed on Tuesday.Astle is scheduled to have surgery on Thursday and is expected to be out of practices until the Varsity Preview on Nov. 10.
