Roseanne Barr won't forget 1989. "This was the hardest year I ever lived through," she says in a People magazine excerpt of her new autobiography. "I lost my marriage, my children got very messed up. Then in a three-month period I ended up with a new man, a new daughter, a new house. But I almost died. It was just so insane." Barr talks candidly about how her daughter, Jessica, 14, went through rehabilitation for a drinking problem and how during the filming of "She-Devil" with Meryl Streep she started her romance with longtime friend Tom Arnold. Barr says she is impressed with Brandi Brown, 17, the daughter she had out of wedlock at age 18 and gave up for adoption. "She's a pretty cool kid," says Barr, who arranged a reunion earlier this year. "I saw a lot of me in her. She's intuitive, trusts her perceptions and feelings and listens to what's not spoken."
