SHARE 2 CHOSEN BY PEERS AS UTAH NURSES OF THE YEAR

Kathryn Nyman, assistant head nurse of LDS Hospital's Shock/Trauma Respiratory Intensive Care Unit, and Sue Day, clinical coordinator of the Emergency Department, have been chosen by their peers as Utah Nurses of the Year for 1989.

Nyman was honored by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and Day by Emergency Medical Services.Nyman, who has been with LDS Hospital since 1977, was cited for her clinical expertise, research and clinical practice, plus capabilities as a resource for her colleagues.

Day, who has been with the Emergency Department since 1980, is the Utah state trauma nurse coordinator.
