Have you seen the ad for "Dad"?

There's one in this section today that could get you free tickets to a special screening of "Dad" Wednesday evening, Oct. 25, at the Cineplex Odeon Holladay Center Cinemas."Dad" is a new PG-rated comedy-drama from Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment company. The film focuses on the estranged relationships a grown man has with his parents and with his teenage son.

Ted Danson, star of TV's "Cheers," plays the man in the middle; Jack Lemmon, wearing makeup to age him well beyond his years, is his father, and recent Oscar-winner Olympia Dukakis ("Moonstruck") is his mother.

"Dad" was written and directed by Gary David Goldberg, who is new to the big screen but is best known as the man behind the enormously successful TV series "Family Ties."

The first 65 Deseret News readers who bring the "Dad" ad labeled "free tickets" to the newspaper's offices Monday will receive a pass for two to the screening.

Another ad for 65 more Deseret News readers will appear in Monday's paper; those tickets will be given away Tuesday morning.
