Fifty-one semifinalists, one from each state and the District of Columbia, will be selected by the panel of judges. Nine finalists will then be chosen and flown to New York City in the spring of 1990 for five "unforgettable" days, at which time a blue-ribbon panel of judges will select the Grand Prize Winner.Mary Xinh Nguyen, a sophomore at Boston University, was last year's winner. In addition to receiving a check for $25,000, she was photographed by top magazines and interviewed on television shows. She also auditioned for a part on an NBC-TV show.

The contest is open to women 18 years of age or older. The entrant must provide a completed entry form, proof-of-purchase of a Revlon color cosmetic, three color photographs of herself and a short essay explaining why she considers herself "unforgettable."
