VENTURE GROUP ELECTS OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS

SHARE VENTURE GROUP ELECTS OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS

Rick Mandahl, marketing director for the parvus Corp., a Salt Lake-based company specializing in computer-based harsh environment control systems and networks for medical, scientific and industrial use, has been elected president of the MountainWest Venture Group.

He succeeds Robert Springmeyer, president of Bonneville Research, who served for two years. Mandahl's term will be two years.Elected vice president were John Scowcroft, Utah Ventures; Dale Richards, director of business development for Utah Power & Light Co.; Gloria Gustin, Commerce Properties; and Dave Politis, Dahlin Smith White.

Other officers are Ron Ockey, a partner in the law firm of Jones, Waldo, Holbrook and McDonough, secretary; Carter Summers, Summers and Associates, and Floyd Peterson, managing partner in Deloitte Haskins and Sells, treasurers; and Jerry McClain, managing partner in Ernst & Young, newsletter editor.

Serving as directors will be Springmeyer; Roy S. Jespersen, a partner in Wasatch Advisors; James U. Jensen, chairman of Woodbury, Jensen, Kesler & Swinton; Dick Shanaman, managing general partner of Utah Ventures; and Carol Mills, Utah Technology Finance Corp.
