Fifth-graders Jared Kozlowski and Sean Braithwaite tie ribbons on trees outside Timpanogos Elementary School, where students are participating in Red Ribbon Week. The students join others throughout the state and nation in the fight against drugs. This week, set aside to highlight the need for a drug-free America, marks the beginning of the latest drug-free campaign, "It's Hot to Not." Members of the Brigham Young University football team and other local VIPs will speak during the week to students in the Provo School District about drug and alcohol abuse. Students also will be urged to make pledges to be drug-free.
