The Salt Lake Art Center's Halloween weekend dinner-dance, "Gothic - An Evening in Black," has been canceled.

The party, described as "an evening of darkness, decadence and dance," to which patrons were requested to wear black attire, had been scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28, from 7 p.m. until midnight. (RSVP invitations to the event had also admonished "pastels prohibited.")
