The Who, The Four Tops, the Four Seasons, the Kinks, the Platters, Hank Ballard, Bobby Darin and Simon and Garfunkel have been selected for induction Jan. 17 to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio.
The selections bring to 43 the number of recording acts chosen for the hall and represent "a good cross section" of musical style, rock historian Norm N. Nite said. It also represents an effort to honor people long overdue for recognition, he added.
