A full slate of fall activities, including pumpkin carving, is planned Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jensen Living Historical Farm, six miles southwest of Logan on U.S. Highway 89-91.
Admission to the farm, part of Utah State University's living history and museum studies program, is $2 for adults, $1 for senior citizens and 50 cents for children. A family ticket is available for $5."We will be completing a number of chores that were typical of a 1917 day on a farm," said event coordinator Jerrie Clarke.
"Fall is winding down and we are getting the farm ready for the winter. Workers will be repairing the roof on the woodshed, cleaning the garden, doing cleaning in the house and kitchen and building a pump house in the pasture.
Young visitors at the farm will be able to select a pumpkin from the patch and carve a jack-o-lantern. Special safety knives are used and children will be supervised by parents or farm workers. All pumpkins will be carved at the farm and parents should accompany children.
