Utah's education crisis, the impact of wilderness designations, underground fuel storage tanks and whether food is safe will be discussed at the annual meeting of the Utah Farm Bureau Nov. 14-18 at the Marriott Hotel.
Utah's farmers and ranchers will hear Jim Campbell, president of the Utah Education Association, and Richard Maxfield, a member of the Utah State School Board, discuss "Perspectives on Utah's Education Crisis" at 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16.Management of underground storage tanks will be discussed at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15; Garfield Commissioner Louise Liston will speak on the local impact of wilderness at 3:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17; and Ann Sorensen, associate director of Natural and Environmental Resources for the American Farm Bureau Federation, will discuss "How Safe is Our Food?" at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Gov. Norm Bangerter will speak on "Agriculture, Utah's Basic Industry," Friday at 3:50 p.m.
