Four Western states wind up yearlong centennial celebrations next month. South Dakota plans a re-enactment in Watertown on Nov. 2 of the inauguration of the state's first governor. On Nov. 4, in Pierre, a parade will be followed by a centennial ball. North Dakota, proclaimed a state on Nov. 2, the same day as South Dakota, will hold festivities all day in Bismarck. Montana will stage a re-enactment of its statehood message in Helena on Nov. 8, on the steps of the Capitol, followed by a period-dress centennial ball. Washington State will celebrate at the Capitol in Olympia Nov. 11.
