THE ROAD TO NOWHERE

SHARE THE ROAD TO NOWHERE

About four miles north of here is a place called Nowhere.

It forms part of an ancient village called Stoke Gifford. The community, covering about 14 square miles, includes areas called Little Stoke, Harry Stoke, Bradley Stoke and Nowhere.Nowhere got its name because it was in the geographical parish of Stoke Gifford, but in the church parish of nearby Frenchay. So people born here claim the unusual birthplace of "Nowhere." And when local villagers say they're going to Nowhere, it means they are going somewhere.
