Darkness need not deter avid trapshooting fans this fall as the Bountiful Lions Club is opening its trapshooting range every Wednesday at 6 p.m. through November.

Lion Kenneth E. Cummings, Hooper, is managing the Wednesday night shoots and says the trapshooting opportunities are great."We spotlight the range with big lights and shoot at clay pigeons. The range is open as long as people want to shoot, often until midnight. We encourage Scout and church groups and the general public to use the Bountiful Lions Club's range as much as possible."

The cost of one round of trap - shooting at 25 clay pigeons - is $2 for Scouts and church groups and $2.50 for individuals. Shotgun shells are also available at the range.

Special shoots for companies and organizations on other nights are also available.

The range will also be open from noon to 6 p.m. each Saturday through November.

"We hope as many as possible will sharpen up their trapshooting skills for the annual Bountiful Lions Turkey Shoot planned all day Saturday and Sunday Nov. 18-19," Cummings said.
