Guerrilla factions have united to capture a major government garrison in central Afghanistan, raising fears in the military that rebel factions are ending feuds, a government source and witnesses said Monday.

Divisions have hurt the U.S-backed guerrillas in their campaign to topple the Kabul government after the last Soviet troops pulled out in February.However, a source in the Moscow-supported government, quoted military officials as saying officers were worried that the fractious rebels are now beginning to join forces.
