Canadian House of Commons members told Rep. Howard Nielson, R-Utah, last week they are working as hard as the United States to reduce acid rain.

Nielson is on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which oversees clean air legislation. He met with six members of the corresponding committee in the Canadian House.

"They were here to learn what we were planning to do with our clean air bill this year and to let us know what they have been doing to clean up the acid rain problem," Nielson said.
