Chris Evenson, who has been with the Salt Lake City Credit Union since 1978 and most recently was vice president, has been appointed president by the board of di rectors. He replaces Ron Smith, who retired.

A graduate of Brigham Young University, Evenson has 16 years of credit union experience in loans, collections, investment, personnel management, data processing and accounting. He worked for Utah Central Credit Union as a loan officer and a senior adjustment officer from 1973-78 before moving to SLCCU.
