An Ogden man and a Sunset man died in separate accidents in Ogden over the weekend, and a Bountiful woman died after being struck by a car in a crosswalk Saturday night.
DEAD:Curtis Henry Wilson, 26, Ogden.
Jason R. Cosby, 18, Sunset.
Elsie T. Holbrook, 80, Bountiful
Wilson died in a motorcycle accident during a snowstorm Saturday morning in Ogden. Wilson was northbound about 4:15 a.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle, drove over a front lawn and collided with a parked trailer at 3431 Fowler St., said Ogden Police Lt. Clark Combe.
Wilson, who had a helmet with him but wasn't wearing it, was dead on arrival at McKay-Dee Hospital.
Cosby died in a two-car collision in South Ogden, authorities said.
Cosby was a passenger in a southbound vehicle that collided with another vehicle at the intersection of 5600 South and Harrison Boulevard about 11 p.m. Friday, said South Ogden Police Officer Quinn Lewis.
Police did not release the name of the 23-year-old driver. Cosby was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
The vehicle he was riding in was turning left when it collided with a northbound car driven by Michael D. Harden, 36, of South Ogden, Lewis said.
Harden and the other driver were taken to St. Benedict's Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released.
Bountiful Police Lt. Don Taylor said Holbrook and two other pedestrians were crossing 100 East at the 100 South intersection in Bountiful about 8:15 p.m. Saturday when Holbrook was struck by a northbound vehicle.
The driver of the car, a 17-year-old girl, apparently did not see the woman in the crosswalk, according to Taylor.
Holbrook was taken to Lakeview Hospital and later died of a heart attack on the operating table, Taylor said. The police department is listing the incident as a traffic fatality, he said.
