The Associated Press reported Monday in its Supreme Court story that Beech-Nut President Niels L. Hoyvald was convicted in connection with the sale of adulterated apple juice but did not also report that the conviction was reversed. A three-judge panel of the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals threw out Hoyvald's conviction in March.

Hoyvald was tried again last month on the mail fraud and conspiracy charges in U.S. District Court in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Judge Thomas J. Platt declared a mistrial when the jury announced it was deadlocked after four days of deliberations. Prosecutors said at the time they wanted to continue the case, and Platt has scheduled a new trial for Nov. 6.
