SHARE NEW COMMANDER NAMED TO MAGNA POST WHERE SOVIETS TRACK WEAPON PRODUCTION

Col. William R. McNally has assumed command of the On-Site Inspection Agency's Magna Portal Detachment, where a team of Soviet inspectors monitors weapon production at the Hercules plant.

McNally replaced Lt. Cmdr. James L. Szatkowski, who held the position of site commander since the detachment's formation in January 1988. Szatkowski has been named Deputy Team Chief for the detachment.McNally had served as the chief of the Weapon Systems Support Division at Air Force Headquarters in the Pentagon. He holds a master's degree in systems management from the University of Southern California.
