Nobel laureate Mother Teresa was removed from intensive care Saturday, nearly five weeks after she was hospitalized with heart trouble, news reports said.

Press Trust of India said the 79-year-old Roman Catholic nun was moved to the post-cardiac unit of the Woodlands Nursing Home, the hospital to which she was admitted Sept. 5 with high fever and irregular heart beat. The Yugoslav-born nun suffered a heart attack Sept. 8 and experienced sporadic chest pains until Sept. 18.
