Dixie College will march into northern Utah on Tuesday, Oct. 10, for an "Evening of Musical Memories" at 7 p.m. in Symphony Hall. The event will kick off a capital campaign on the college's behalf and is being sponsored by its national advisory council.

The program will begin with a reception that will offer refreshments and a chance to meet college officials, faculty and staff. The 8 p.m. concert will feature faculty members and recent Dixie graduates. Included will be performances by the Sunland Vocal Band, flutist Launa Whitehead, singers Patrice Prince and Paul N. Gates and pianist Del Parkinson.Capping the evening will be a multimedia presentation outlining the campaign's goal: to raise over $17 million in the next four years.

"This is not an evening of solicitation," maintains campaign director Richard Whitehead. Instead, "it is a chance for fun and fellowship and to show our northern friends what we're hoping to accomplish."
