Take Gillham Advertising, for example, which recently combined a donkey, a prospector and a 1990 Honda Civic for a television commercial advertising the new Honda vehicles.Shot in the desert west of Salt Lake City, the commercial features a prospector suddenly seeing the car, then leading the donkey to it, helping her in the back seat and driving into the sunset.
Gillham officials said Petunia trained for one week on how to get inside the car like a lady and how to poke her head out the window so she could be seen. The commercial was produced for Utah Honda dealers.
A second 30-second commercial uses a variety of "Poltergeist"-like special effects, including disappearing people, and car doors and trunks that open and close by themselves.
