The Provo City Council will consider the following items at its regular meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
-Approval of recommendations from the Planning Commission regarding rezoning requests and amendments to Provo City's zoning ordinances. The amendments to the ordinances include a request to allow temporary sales offices in mobile homes or travel trailers located on prospective building sites for up to one year and a request to allow restaurants and other eating establishments to be located in the professional office zone.
-An appeal of a Planning Commission decision approving vacating of an alley in the Westpark subdivision.
-An appeal of a proposal to amend the phase two plat of Georgetown on the Park condominiums, which was approved by the Planning Commission.
-Presentation of a proposal for a gift from Provo City to the people of the Soviet Union.
-Presentation of the official canvas of the Oct. 3 primary election.
-Public discussion of the Olmsted contracts, which concern the CUP and water rights in the city.
Following action items, members of the public will have the opportunity to address the council and the mayor. Council meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall.
