Schools that want to participate in the National Geography Bee must register by Wednesday, Nov. 15.
The national contest is for children in grades four through eight and offers cash prizes, including $25,000 to the national winner.National Geographic Society's World Magazine for children sponsors the contest. Local "bees" will be conducted Jan. 29 to Feb. 9, 1990 to produce state winners.
