Police are seeking three men who robbed a Salt Lake bank Tuesday.

The men entered the Utah Co-Op Federal Credit union, 227 E. 900 South, about 9:20 a.m., and leaped over the counter. One of the robbers brandished a revolver and forced the employees to the back where the safe is kept.

The bandits took more than $1,000 from the safe and escaped in a dark blue or black American-made 1977 sedan.

Robbery squad Sgt. Bill Abbott said the descriptions of the bandits, all black, are similar to those of three men who robbed a private post-office box shop a block away about a year ago.
