A federal judge on Wednesday gave former Oklahoma defensive end James "Jimbo" Elrod a five-year suspended sentence and a $3,000 fine for his guilty plea to a drug charge.

Elrod, an All-American on the Sooners' 1975 national championship team, pleaded guilty in August to using a telephone to facilitate a drug deal.
