Chargers coach Dan Henning says veteran Jim McMahon will start at quarterback Sunday against Philadelphia instead of rookie Billy Joe Tolliver.

Tolliver started his first NFL regular-season game last Sunday in Seattle. He completed six of 17 passes for 41 yards with one interception before giving way to McMahon early in the fourth quarter with the Chargers trailing 3-0.McMahon, who was coming off injuries to his ankle, knee and left shoulder, completed nine of 12 passes for 82 yards, including a 14-yard touchdown that put San Diego ahead 7-3. The Seahawks drove 71 yards for a last-minute TD, however, and a 10-7 victory.
