A Salt Lake woman burned while trying to rescue her daughter from their burning home was in critical but stable condition Friday in the Intermountain Burn Center at the University of Utah.

Hilda Goodluck, 37, suffered second-degree burns on her face, hands and feet after she tried to enter the burning house at 970 S. 500 East to save her 2-year-old daughter. The child died of burns and smoke inhalation.The woman had earlier rescued her 3-year-old son from the fire.
