Detlef Luskin, an automotive technician at MET Auto & Truck, 4026 S. West Temple, is one of 76 finalists in the 1989 NAPA Auto Parts/Na-tional Institute for Automotive Service Excellence technician of the year competition. The national winner will be announced during the annual NAPA meeting in Atlanta, Ga.

The winner will receive a classic Ford Mustang from the 1960s from NAPA headquarters and $5,000 in tools and products. The winner will be flown to Atlanta to accept the prizes.
