Some 800 student leaders from across the state are scheduled to attend the fall Utah Association of Student Councils conference at Viewmont High School on Thursday, Nov. 9.

The conference theme is GO MAD or Go Make a Difference. Leadership workshops will cover attitude, goal setting, bonding and working with administration. The main focus of the meeting will be drug use in school."We believe that as student leaders we can make a difference in the number of students that use drugs. There is a problem. Hopefully by coming to this conference, student leaders will better know how to deal with this problem," said Stephen M. Hilton, association president.
