SHARE CREDIT UNION ROBBED

A bandit fired a shot Thursday morning during the robbery of a Salt Lake credit union.

Two bandits jumped over the counter of Diamond Credit Union, 1734 S. Major St. (50 East) about 11:15 a.m. and demanded money, said police Lt. Bill Shelton.As they left the business, one of them fired a handgun into an interior door. No one was injured.

Detective Sgt. Bill Abbott said the holdup is similar to the robbery of the same credit union on Oct. 4 and the robbery of the Utah Co-op Federal Credit Union, 227 E. 900 South, on Oct. 31.
