It didn't take long for a stylishly dressed stranger from Boston to make friends when she started handing out $100 bills to virtually everybody she met at a South Side bar.

The mysterious woman, wearing ruby earrings, started her spree about noon Saturday by presenting three stunned flight attendants at the Carlton Midway Motor Inn lounge with the unexpected cash, the Chicago Sun-Times reported."Merry Christmas," she said, sitting down at the bar near the cash register and ordering red wine. She introduced herself as Judy Kelly.

When she ran out of hundreds, Kelly apologized and gave out fifties. When she ran out of $50 notes, she again apologized and handed out twenties.
