SHARE 3-VEHICLE CRASH IN S.L. INJURES DRIVER AND CHILD

Two people were injured Sunday evening when a car knocked over a four-wheel-drive vehicle and rammed a pickup truck into the corner of a building at Sixth South and State Street.

Salt Lake City Police officer Billy Collier said the car was southbound on State Street when it collided with the two eastbound vehicles.The car and the truck ended up on the sidewalk, with the truck protruding into the True-Fit Seat Covers shop, 603 S. State.

The four-wheel drive vehicle rolled, ejecting 6-year-old Whitney Greenhaugh. She was taken to Primary Children's Medical Center, where she was treated for facial lacerations and released early Monday. Her father, Ron, who was driving, and her mother were not injured.

The driver of the truck was hospitalized for minor injuries. His identity and that of the car's driver were not immediately available. Collier said the accident was under investigation.
