The City Council has approved new golfing fees for the city's golf course. The rates become effective in 1990.
Regular rates for nine holes will be $5, while the rate for 18 holes will be $10. Junior and senior rates on nine holes will increase to $4 and $8 for 18 holes.Golf cart rentals will also increase to $7 for nine holes and $13 for 18 holes. Five-day golf passes will cost $175, seven-day passes $250, juniors/seniors five-day passes will be $140 and juniors/seniors seven-day passes will cost $200.
The rate changes reflect inflation and indicate the city's decision to make the golf course more self-sustaining, according to council members. The rate changes will help the city improve the course's sprinkling system next year.
