Judy and David Colby of Colonial Beach, Va., lay a wreath for their son, Stephen R. Colby, Tuesday in Arlington National Cemetery, during memorial services for members of the 101st Airborne Division killed in the Dec. 12, 1985, airliner crash in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada. Relatives of the 248 soldiers killed in the crash are joining with members of Congress and Canadian investigators in urging a U.S. inquiry into the disaster. A three-year probe concluded the DC-8 was downed by ice on its wings, but there was a report of a fire and explosion before the crash.
