Cooking classes with a traditional twist will be offered at Wheeler Historic Farm.
A. Glen Humpherys will teach the class on techniques of preparing traditional country recipes. Class members will receive a cookbook, recipes, fire-handling instructions and generous servings.A bread, soups and stews class will be offered Jan. 6 and Jan. 20.
A country dinner class will emphasize a roast beef, potatoes and two vegetable meal, complete with relishes and dessert. The class will be offered on Jan. 13 and Jan. 27.
Both classes will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Wheeler Farmhouse Kitchen and Dining Room at 6351 S. 900 East. The charge will be $20. For information and reservations, call 264-2241.
