Tom Landry, who was dumped as coach of the Dallas Cowboys by the team's new owner, got to sit back in style and watch his old team play for the first time this season - as the guest of New York Giants owner and multimillionaire Wellington Mara on Saturday. "Wellington is one of my best friends and he invited me to come up sometime," said Landry, who once played for the Giants. Landry said he was in New York on business anyway, and decided to watch the game. "I probably won't cheer for anybody," he said beforehand. "The Giants are actually my second team, and they need the win more than Dallas does so they can get in the playoffs." Landry's comments came at a news conference during which he announced he would write his autobiography for publication next August. "I've been a private person, as you all know," Landry said, "and it's a little scary thinking about revealing your innermost thoughts to public scrutiny."
