The Marine Corps Reserve and KTVX are joining for the second consecutive year to collect Christmas toys for disadvantaged children.

"We want every child in Utah to wake up Christmas morning with a smile and new toys to play with and enjoy. Only you can make this goal a reality," states a press release from the television station. As they shop for their own families, Utahns are urged to buy a toy or two for the estimated 5,000 children who will be without presents if others don't respond.

Unwrapped, new toys may be brought to the station at 1760 Fremont Drive, or the Marines may be called at 583-7318 or 583-7319 for the address of the most convenient location where gifts may be delivered. A reserve spokesman said the gifts may be delivered to all Rainbo Oil stations and Salt Lake County Fire Department stations.
