New England Patriots owner Victor Kiam has warned Mayor Raymond Flynn the team will be forced to move out of New England if a new stadium is not built in the region, a published report said.

In a meeting Tuesday initiated by Flynn and aides from the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Kiam said he was losing more than $6 million on the Patriots this year and wanted a new stadium built in the near future, The Boston Globe report said.Flynn reportedly told Kiam he wants the team to stay in the area but said Boston could not pay for a new stadium because of the state's fiscal crisis and ensuing negative political climate.
