He hasn't made a movie in 40 years, but "singing cowboy" Gene Autry must still be popular.

The auction house Butterfield & Butterfield got $4,675 in bidding for one 1939-vintage Autry saddle. One lot of five Dell "Gene Autry Comics" brought $605. A cowboy hat worn by Autry in the 1940s went for $990, and a pair of his boots brought $2,200.
