The Alcohol and Chemical Dependency Unit of St. Benedict's Hospital has opened a new facility in Salt Lake City at Doxey Hatch Medical Center, 1255 E. 3900 South.
St. Benedict's Hospital, in cooperation with Holy Cross Hospital, is operating the not-for-profit treatment center, known as St. Bene-dict's/Holy Cross ACT Center Salt Lake.ACT was established in 1970 and has been in operation longer than any other private drug and alcohol treatment center in the state. It features a personalized program based on clinical research, a two-year follow-up care program and a strong alumni association for continued support.
The facility is operated locally and employs 25 people, including a round-the-clock nursing staff, therapists, physicians and counselors. The newly remodeled 22,000 square-foot facility includes 35 beds, administrative offices, a patient lounge, exercise room, lecture and meeting rooms.
