SHARE OGDEN AUTO SALESMAN GETS 90 DAYS FOR ODOMETER FRAUD

An Ogden man who owned Friendly Auto Sales was sentenced Thursday to 90 days in jail and fined $1,500, for automobile odometer fraud.

Scott Barker was convicted of five counts of rolling back the odometers on cars that were sold to Ray Citte Inc., Ogden. He was found not guilty of four counts of forging mileage records.U.S. District Judge David K. Winder sentenced him to three years and suspended all but 90 days of the term. He also ordered him to spend four years on probation.

Winder forbade Barker from involvement in the auto business during the probationary period, including buying or selling cars or dealing with auto titles.
