Greer Garson is leaving a legacy at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Garson, 81, a Dallas resident, announced this week she will fund a five-story, 400-seat theater for the school with construction set to start in August and completion scheduled for the fall of 1991. "Because we haven't let bids for the project, we don't have the amount," said SMU spokeswoman Rebecca Young. "We know that it will be a multimillion-dollar gift and it will also be the first building in the history of the school that will be given entirely by one person."
