SHARE FORD DEALER NOTES RISE IN SALES

Increases in sales volume and the number of units sold in the third quater of 1989 were reported by officials of Henry S. Day Ford, 3899 S. Redwood Road.

Mike Day, dealership president, said the company had $6.1 million in sales volume, a 62 percent increase over the $3.7 million in the same period a year ago. He said the dealership sold 424 units in the quarter, 21 percent increase over the 350 units sold a year ago.Although the greatest increases occurred during the third quater, increases also were reported in the first two quarters, which resulted in a 27 percent increase in sales volume in the first nine months of the year to $17.2 million from $13.5 million a year ago.

Day said a key factor in the increase in sales was the remodeling that was the remodeling that was completed in August and included updating the showroom, the customer service and retail parts counter enclosed and a customer waiting area added.
