Center Lee Campbell scored 25 points and guard Darryl Reid added 24 as Southwest Missouri opened its home season Friday with a 91-76 win over Southern Utah State in the first round of the Mazzio's Pizza Classic.

The Bears face Creighton in Saturday's championship game, after the Thunderbirds play Western Michigan in the consolation game.Southwest Missouri (3-2) led 48-36 at halftime and increased the lead to 78-58 with six minutes to play. Southern Utah (2-3) fought back with a 16-3 run that cut the lead to 81-74 with 1:18 left.

Campbell and Reid, who were resting on the bench during the run, came back in and combined for eight quick points to seal the victory.

The Bears' forward Jeff Ford and guard Lovelace Redmond also scored in double figures, with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Guard DaVor Marcelic led Southern Utah with 20 points.
