"Possibly the only cable bill we'll pass," was how House Speaker Nolan Karras, R-Roy, described a bill that was passed Tuesday by representatives. Sponsored by Sen. Haven J. Barlow, R-Layton, the bill makes the theft of cable television service a crime.
There was no debate on the bill, which has already been approved by the Senate. That's a far cry from all the discussion over the years on a better-known cable bill that attempted to restrict cable programming but was struck down by the courts.
