SHARE RESOLUTION BACKS YOUNG, NEEDY PATIENTS

Several joint resolutions that have already been approved by the Senate were endorsed Tuesday by the House. One, which urged support for the "Pennies by the Inch" fund-raising campaign for needy patients at the Primary Children's Hospital, prompted a song by Rep. Don Strong, R-Springville.

Seated in the motorized cart he uses to get around the Legislature because of his multiple sclerosis, Strong sang a song learned as a child in LDS Church Primary classes. His rendition of the song, which included the line that some children "can't have any fun" because of their illnesses, drew applause from lawmakers.
