University of Utah quarterback Scott Mitchell sprained an ankle Thursday night in a basketball game, but early indications are that it isn't a serious injury.

Mitchell, who is finishing his sophomore year, twisted the ankle in a church basketball game. He said after being examined by doctors he was told he will be on crutches for two or three weeks. He added he doesn't expect the injury to keep him out of spring practice.
